An easy-to-keep species which occurs naturally in s-W China, N-e India and Myanmar. The brown red spathe has vertical white lines and blooms around the end of may, beginning of June. It is sometimes confused with Arisaema fargesii and, in principle, not abnormal. They have all two the same leaves, flower shape, flower colour, but Arisaema franchetianum blooms in the past. While A. fargesii, but in June - July, blooms, flowers, A. franchetianum already in may - June. Can be up to 90 cm tall at a mature age and in ideal conditions. As with all Arisaema give them a place in semi-shade, humus-rich, well-drained soil. Let the soil not dry out during growth and flowering. Good for garden and flower pots.
